He stated that Walvis Bay resident Michael Neib (47) was arrested by police on the B1 road in Walvis Bay on Saturday night.

Neib was sued by police, but escaped after abandoning his car and fled on foot. The vehicle was towed later.

On Monday morning, Neib went to the Walvis Bay Police Station, where he went.

Neib reportedly told the police that his firearm was at his home in Kuisebmond. the gun, and for the police to check if it was allowed.

On the way, Neib would have pulled himself into the van and died instantly. His relatives were informed of his death.

"It seems that he managed to hide the firearm from the police, and a body search on him was not done properly. We are studying," said Iikuyu.
