A presentation slide that appears to confirm the upcoming laptops equipped with the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660Ti and GTX 1650 GPUs has been disclosed. The slide is supposed to come from an Acer presentation and was shared by VideoCardz and I_Leak_VN on Twitter – but the original source page in Chinese seems to have been removed.
In the screen above, you can see a trio of Acer laptops. The lines of the slide can be roughly translated as follows:
- Construction features
- Screen
- Intel gen processor
- Graphic card
- Drums
- Storage room
These are Nitro brand gaming notebooks and the slide compares "old and new". The laptop in the left column is the existing Acer Nitro 5 AN515-52 of 15.6 inches that you can read more in detail on the official Acer product pages. To the right of this laptop, you'll find two columns describing the features of the new and unreleased Acer Nitro Gaming laptops, the Acer Nitro 5 15.6-inch, and the 17.3-inch Acer Nitro 7.
In the first column, you'll find that new generation Nitro gaming laptops have a new textured carbon fiber finish. In addition, the screen frames have been reduced to 7 mm (applies only to the left and right). We then see that some screen updates are available. For example, the new Nitro 5 AN515-54 has the option of a 144Hz FHD panel with a 3ms response time. The third column indicates that these new laptops are supplied with Intel's 9th generation Intel Series Coffee Lake H processors. The fifth and sixth rows provide information about batteries and available memory. The inclusion of two NVMe M.2 PCIe SSD slots is particularly interesting.
Turning now to the graphics card options for buyers, the 15.6-inch model can be configured with a choice of Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660Ti GPUs, GTX 1650s or GTX 1050s. The 17-incher does not offer the same. GTX 1050 option. This part of the list is important because Nvidia has not officially made any mention of a GeForce GTX 1650 for desktop or mobile.
The VideoCardz report states that the desktop version of the GTX 1650 should contain 4GB of GDDR5 memory via the 128-bit interface and will be launched on the 22ndNorth Dakota April. He adds that the mobile variant will come in parallel with the launch of the 9th generation Intel Coffee Lake H platform.
Meanwhile, Acer has e-mailed its next product, Splendge, christened next @ acer, which will take place in New York on the 11th.th April (11am EDT, 5pm French time). The event will be broadcast live on YouTube.
