RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – More than 400 new jobs could be created in Wake County, according to an economic announcement made by Governor Roy Cooper.
Advance Auto Parts will move its headquarters to Raleigh, creating 435 jobs and a $ 5.4 million investment.
In addition to moving their headquarters, they will also expand their operations in Wake County. The new jobs will come in the next five years, Cooper said.
"We all know that North Carolina is a great place to live, but it takes a lot more than that to attract a head office like Advance Auto Parts," Cooper said. "Advance is expanding its capabilities in technology, data analytics and e-commerce in North Carolina because we have the talent, the training opportunities, the education system and the industry expertise to make this business a success.
In October, the company operated nearly 5,000 stores in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. The company currently employs nearly 3,000 full-time people in the state, 700 of whom are already based in Raleigh, Cooper said.
