Celsius Resources Limited announced last week that it had started with the electromagnetic survey of its 95% -owned Opuwo Cobalt project.

In a statement, the company announced that it had named SkyTEM Surveys ApS to perform a helicopter magnetic and electromagnetic geophysical survey. The objectives of the study are: To assist in the geological mapping of conducting sedimentary horizons near the surface, which should include the formation of dolomite ore (DOF); delineate discrete conductive zones along the sedimentary horizons; and detecting deeper discrete conductive bodies that may be related to deeper stockwork or mineralization of massive semi-massive sulphides in feeder areas.

The survey started on the neighboring project of Namibia Critical Metals (NMI: CVE). "

Last week, about 650 linear km of the planned 6 090 linear km were completed on Celsius permits, according to the company.

Celsius agreed to share data with Namibia Critical Metals to allow an integrated regional interpretation of the results to be undertaken. The final interpreted results and data products are expected from the survey in September / October 2018.

"The onset of the EM onboard survey is an exciting step for exploration in the region." Opuwo, which will help to understand the potential yet to be discovered at the project. It is the first time that a geophysical survey of this nature has been conducted in the area and we are looking forward to continuing the study of targets that could be generated as the investigation progresses, "said Brendan Borg, CEO of Celsius.
