Here's what our reviewer had to say:

The C8, like most of LG's OLED 2018, uses the new Alpha 9 smart processor. performance offers the most advanced image processing ever seen on a mainstream TV, and the image quality is exceptionally outstanding once you navigate through the thick forest screen modes.

The HDR performance of the C8 is spectacular. The C8 has no problem managing the spectral highlights that, combined with rich, deep blacks, result in delightfully dynamic images. The detail of the shadows in the near blacks is also exceptional, and the dynamism of the color and the tangible details in the 4K content can be amazing and the C8 is also superb with the HD material. There is so much to appreciate in his pictures.

There is also AI, with LG's webOS platform that adds intuitive search and voice control. You can even select picture modes in verbal mode.

The C8 is also fabulous with games, with an offset of only 21.1 ms, which is excellent. Oh, and there is a Dolby Atmos decoder, which works with streamed content from Netflix, as well as with external sources like Sky Q. Just plug your decoder into the TV and use HDMI ARC to send Atmos to a compatible audio system.

It's one of the best OLED so far. For the game, it's better than the Sony AF8, and those who like a really bright, brilliant (but not "unreal") image will also favor this TV. However, the Sony has a narrow upgrade from SDR hardware to HDR and motion management, including better sound.
