If you played League this preseason, you probably already know how Dark Harvest has been dominant. In fact, it probably has between four and eight champions in almost every game you've played, even after patching the hot patch on patch day.
Fortunately, Riot is well aware of the problems with the rune and is working on a solution in the form of a nerve that should appear in patch 8.24. In fact, Riot's director of design, Andrei "Meddler" van Roon, gave a snapshot of the exact nature of these changes in his article Quick Gameplay Thoughts of November 28.
The first thing that will change is the damage to the base of the rune, from 40 to 80 (which is currently live) to 20 to 60, which should bring down the start of the game and the power overall significantly. This is the main change that should occur in patch 8.24, however, Riot will also look at other changes in the future. Depending on how these initial nerves change things, the rune can also trigger at 40% instead of 50 or lose its reset with suppression, giving it a shorter cooldown if you participate in a kill. . However, for the moment, the simple figures that we know if we will have to do it.
Like all the changes that have not yet been made to the game, this is totally tentative and subject to change before the update, but it's at least a good indication of the direction Riot wants to take to balance the rune.
Patch 8.24 should be launched next week.
