Anthony Mundine grabbed Jeff Horn by the throat during a fiery weigh-in for Friday's fight in Brisbane.
The veteran boxer let out an extended roar after easily coming under the 71 kg catch weight for the fight, reversing the scales at Thursday's weigh-in at 70.2 kg.
Shortly after Horn recorded 70.55kg to make the weight, the duo clashed on the stage.

During the showdown, the two fighters exchanged words before Mundine took the former WBO welterweight champion and sent him to coach Glenn Rushton.
"I'm just excited, man," said Mundine afterwards.
"I'm like a lion in a cage right now, I'm ready to eat it."
Mundine had received heavy financial penalties if he had not managed to bear the weight of the fight and said he was not afraid to weigh less than 75 kg during a pre-fight weigh-in on Friday.
Horn said that he felt good and attributed his opponent's aggression to the frustration of having to lose weight.
"He has to fight to gain weight with the push there," said the 30-year-old.
"I'm usually in the position that he is … this time I feel good."
The fight against Suncorp Stadium is an important event for both fighters.
Horn is ready to rebuild his reputation after a humble defeat by American Terence Crawford in June.
Mundine may be participating in the last professional fight of her 18-year career.
Friday 's fight is to start around 9:30 pm with a crowd of about 25,000 people.
