ASA rebukes for gaming operators for poorly targeted ads

Four online gaming operators have fallen foul of the UK's Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) after mobile advertising specialist.

The ads for Annexio's LottoGo EuroMillions app, MT SecureTrade's Dunder gambling app, Betfair's Betfair's Betfair's Bingo, and William Hill's Vegas were featured in the PEGI's 7-rated Looney Tunes World of Mayhem app in February.

This prompted the ASA to file its own complaints.

All of the operators are of the opinion that they should not be placed in the media where they are likely to be viewed by young people and that the ads are placed by Tapjoy. They attributed the placement to an error on the part of each other and they have terminated their relationship with the company.
