CNS presents its 2018-2022 strategic plan |

Windhoek – Namibian Sports Commission – Emma Kantema-Gaomas, Permanent Secretary General of the Ministry of Sports, Youth and National Service, officially launched on Tuesday her strategic plan 2018-2022.
The Commission's quadrennial plan has been drawn up for the sports federations and the Namibian people in accordance with its mandate, vision, mission and values.
It has five objectives that have been defined in accordance with the framework of the Fifth National Development Plan (NDP) 5 and the Harambee Prosperity Plan.
The objectives are:
· Improve development and participation in sport
· Improve sport management capacity
· Ensure compliance with the legal and regulatory frameworks of sport
· Promote financial independence in sport
· Strengthen operational excellence
Kantema – Gaomas elaborated on the ambitious document, which states that boards of directors and federations should define strategies, guidelines and objectives outlining them.
She added that consultations had been held with all sports federations to implement this strategic plan. She also urged the federations to work in teams and not in groups.
