Coldplay is expected to announce new songs later in the day – but under a new band name, Los Unidades.
Parlophone, the Coldplay label, tweeted: "Parlophone Records is thrilled to present the new #LosUnidades signature", as well as the dark photo of four individuals that fans have reported are remarkably similar to Coldplay.
Coldplay also appreciated the tweet, causing fans to speculate on the true identity of Los Unidades. The Coldplay fan account, ColplayXtra, also appears to have investigated this announcement further and discovered a legal trademark contract that lists Los Unidades owners as Chris Martin, Jon Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion.

A new announcement about Los Unidades is expected today (November 27th) at 5pm.
Sources close to the group have already hinted that they were working on new songs. Their friend and collaborator, Mat Whitecross, revealed that they were planning to return to the studio next year.
