Toronto Maple Leaf star Auston Matthews was selected as the NHL 20 cover athlete. The official unveiling took place in Las Vegas at the NHL Awards on Wednesday night. According to a press release provided by EA Sports, Matthews expressed his gratitude and appreciation for this honor.
"Growing up, I always admired all the players who made the cover of the match. It's a very cool honor and I'm proud to represent my organization, "said Matthews. "I'm also very competitive, so I'm looking forward to throwing NHL 20 into the locker room and playing against my teammates."

NHL 20 will be released worldwide on September 13th, but fans who pre-order the Deluxe or Ultimate editions will have early access starting September 10th. Even before, EA Access subscribers will be able to play the entire game on September 5th through the Early Test Period service.
For the moment, there are no other details available on the pre-order bonuses. Expect to see those revealed on Thursday or later.
