The Scandinavian countries dominated the top of the standings, with Norway ranking No. 1 for the second year in a row (and eight of the last nine, beaten only by New Zealand in 2016), Finland (No. 3), Denmark (No. 5) and Sweden (No. 6) not far behind.

The United Kingdom ranked 7th, while the United States ranked 18th.

And the Czech Republic ranks 27th among the top 30 countries in the world, one less than in 2017.

This is enough for third place among the countries of Central and Eastern Europe (CEEC), behind Slovenia in 17th place and Estonia in 26th place, who have exchanged their positions against the Czech Republic in the prosperity index of this year.

The Czech neighbors, Slovakia and Poland, ranked No. 32 and No. 33, respectively.

All Central and Eastern European countries are the fourth most prosperous region in the world, behind North America (No. 1), Western Europe (No. 2) and Latin America and the Caribbean (No. 3).

The Czech Republic ranks at the top of the health sub-category, ranking 14th and with a share capital of 71. In all other categories, the Czech Republic was between 21 and 33 years old.

The five poorest countries in the world were Afghanistan, the Central African Republic, Yemen, Chad and Sudan.
