(Donâ € ™ t) Turn your Roomba into a bartender robot

The Stella Artois BART is another insult that our one-day robot lords will surely use against us. With a name that stands for "Automated Robotics Bartending Technology", this $ 20 plastic flotsam supposedly converts your robot vacuum cleaner into a traveling party tray.

The BART is what it looks like, that is, a terrible idea. A clear cylindrical pole has a flat cap on the bottom that you lay on top of your robot vacuum cleaner. On the top of the post is a round plastic serving tray. Five recessed brackets in the top of the tray are designed to hold four beer glasses and a snack bowl (including bowl).

The beer brewer Stella Artois, who is behind the BART, promises that this machine will not spill anything. This statement is incorrect. It will be. Vacuum robots make sharp turns. They turn. Unless your home does not have furniture, walls or uneven floor surfaces, this thing will spill your drinks. What is next to the point. Again, this is a Stella marketing exercise. Are you annoyed that this product exists? Well! You think about Stella! Do you want to buy one yourself (do not do it)? Even better! Now you think of Stella and give her some money.

Stella also says that you can print the BART accessory with a 3D printer. You only need the downloadable printer file and a large format machine capable of print huge pieces. You do not have one.
