First update of the Womens Club television series – Switch from Paramount Network to BET

The long gestation First women's club Television series undergo a change of address. TVLine has learned that the first season of the show, which had already been scheduled for the first time on the Paramount network in 2019, will debut on BET the New Year.

Based on the classic 1996 film of the same name, BET First women's club series follows three women from New York – Ari (That's us"Ryan Michelle Bathe), Bree (enlistedMichelle Buteau) and Hazel (Black Lightning"Jill Scott) – who form a united front after the fall of their marriages. The series, written and produced by Tracy Oliver (Girls travel, also stars Mark Tallman (ascend), RonReaco Lee (Surprise of the survivor) and Malik Yoba (Empire).

Before Oliver's version of First women's club, TV Land was developing an iteration with Megan Hilty (smash), Alyson Hannigan (How did I meet your mother) and Vanessa Lachey (Dads) as the leader of the series.
