Following Google's change of brand on its mobile network this week, from Project Fi to Google Fi, the company is aggressively promoting new offers to engage customers and generate interest.
Just yesterday, Google has offered up to 1,000 USD in travel credits new and existing Fi customers who have purchased a device through Fi Store. The actual reward amount exactly matches the price of the phone you buy. For example, a $ 899 Pixel 3 XL would give an equivalent $ 899 travel gift card. However, a tweet Google has announced an untimely end to the transaction, likely due to extreme demand.
Today, the company offers a more restrictive contract. However, it is still possible to save money if the move to Google Fi was on your radar.
Only new customers can receive a free month of Google Fi when transferring an existing number to the MNVO, provided they bring an eligible device.
Service credits can cover unlimited communications and SMS, data usage, taxes and fees for a single subscriber for one month. The service credits can not cover international calls, normal speed data after 15 GB per month, device financing, device protection, group plan subscription costs or activities that Google Fi deems excessive, abusive or fraudulent.
There are still some good savings to be made, like the LG V35 ThinQ at $ 699 and a $ 100 credit with the Pixel 3 or the Pixel 3 XL. Anyway, if you were thinking of switching to Google Fi and you were missing yesterday's agreement, that might be the perfect time.
The promotion runs until December 16th at 11:59 pm PST.
