The Super League club said the stadium had been evacuated safely after the spotlight collapsed

Hull KR, the rugby club, declared a "major incident" after the fall of a stadium floodlight in high winds.

Images shared with a website of the French Rugby League show the lights and pylon on the field at KCOM Craven Park.

In a statement, the Super League said no one had been injured and the stadium had been safely evacuated.

The stadium would remain closed until further notice, and testing should take place on the other spotlights, said a club spokesman.

The decision to reopen the stadium will probably be made on Friday.

The pitch projectors were installed by contractors five years ago, the club said.

This is a good job as the wind was blowing in his original direction, otherwise it could have caused significant damage to Roger Millward's booth.

Offices and training centers are also located near the pylon in question.

What they will have to do is check all the bolts on the pylons and the lights on the other three sides of the stadium.

Fortunately, no one was injured and no significant damage was caused to the ground.
