Manchester City fans have identified Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele as the player they wanted to replace midfielder Fernandinho after the 2-2 draw in the Champions League.
City was ranked second in Lyon, Maxwel Cornet having put the hosts twice. Aymeric Laporte and Sergio Aguero's equalizer have saved a point that has seen City rise in the last 16, and a draw against Hoffenheim next month will see first place in Group F.
While Cornet, Nabil Fekir and Memphis Depay were causing problems at the back, another Lyon player stood out in the middle of the park, City's Tanguy Ndombele said.
The Frenchman had impressed Lyon's victory at Etihad earlier this season, and rumors were rife about the city considering the 21-year-old as a substitute for 33-year-old Fernandinho.
And for his performance at Groupama Stadium, City supporters have clearly announced that it would be a great addition to Pep Guardiola's team.
