Map changes, new skins, challenges of the week 1

Fortnite SEASON Five is here and with it comes some massive changes to the gameplay and map, with more changes likely to follow over the next few weeks.

While leaks and data mining suggested a number of possible changes, these did not become reality. The predicted theory of time travel seems to have been precise, with a Viking theme present on the map and in the skins.

While many other predictions have not come true, no pirate, cowboy, egyptian or other periods featured for the moment. However, be sure to stay on your guard, as as the season progresses, we may still see other changes as the giant cracks in the sky remain active.

WHAT HAS CHANGED AND WHAT WILL IT AFFECT THE GAME?

Changes to the Map

Epic Games Outperformed Season 4 Efforts (1965-19003) The Biggest Change was the replacement of Moisty Mire with the new Paradise Palms, as well as a new desert biome that covers nearly a quarter of the area's area. the map. This desert area has several small towns, mountains, palm trees and a giant road (more on that later). This area seems to resemble the real life of Palm Springs, California. The dinosaurs are on the map here as expected, but these are just statues.

The other big change on the map was the scrapping of Anarchy Acres for the new location named Lazy Links. This area looks like an American country club and has a swimming pool, tennis courts and golf courses.

Other changes on the map have made the football stadium built for the World Cup disappear, Dusty Divot continued to grow and is now overgrown with trees. There is a new, unnamed location, with a Viking themed area built at the top of the mountain near the gritty forest. The head statues of Easter Island also sprouted on the map near Junk Junction and Lonely Lodge

Gameplay Changes

There have been several gameplay changes . Speaking of the new road in Paradise Palms, we finally have vehicles to drive into the game with the off-road Kart capable of carrying your squad on the map.

While it's noisy enough to give your position, it can help you navigate the map quickly. You can also drift, which gives the driver a boost, while the roof of the kart acts as a rebound, which could allow interesting games.

The other big change is new interactive rifts that open at various levels. points around the map. You can enter these rifts to reappear in the sky and fall elsewhere on the map
