State Enterprise Minister Leon Jooste said on Wednesday afternoon that the Namibia Airports Company had successfully passed a 10-day safety assessment by the International Civil Aviation Organization.
The Namibia Airports Company (NAC) is preparing to audit Icao since the beginning of the year in order to comply with international standards of civil aviation.
Jooste confirmed to The Namibian On Wednesday afternoon, "no major security issues were identified" and the situation of Namibia's airports remained intact.
"Improvements are needed in some areas and will need to be addressed, but this has not affected the audit result," said Jooste.
