LOS ANGELES (AP) – Willie Nelson, Vince Gill, Don Henley and Mavis Staples will perform in tribute to Dolly Parton, who has awarded him the MusicIcares 2019 year title by the Recording Academy.
The academy has announced the latest additions to the lineup on Thursday for the tribute concert and the gala to be held in Los Angeles on Feb. 8, two days before the Grammy Awards.
Kacey Musgraves and Linda Perry are also among the recently announced artists, joining previously announced bands Pink, Norah Jones and Chris Stapleton.
This event raises funds for members of the music community who face financial, medical and personal needs.
The Academy announced in September that Parton, the first country artist to receive the honor of MusiCares, will be recognized for his music and support for causes via his Dollywood Foundation.
