After the revelation of animation by Netflix last night, we are somewhat surprised at this other animated content announcement.

According to information, Netflix will adapt the Roald Dahl Story Company's properties, notably "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", "Matilda", "The BFG", "The Twits", "Charlie and the Big Glass Lift" and "George's Marvelous Medicine" .
Netflix has stated its intention to remain true to Dahl 's spirit and tone in a press release regarding this announcement. The goal is to create a "universe of stories" that will go beyond the stories of magical chocolate factories and friendly giants already told.
Felicity DahlWidow of Roald Dahl, said:
"Our mission, which is deliberately noble, is to ensure that as many children around the world as possible can experience the unique magic and positive message of Roald Dahl's stories. This partnership with Netflix marks an important step in this direction and is an exciting new chapter for Roald Dahl Story. I know Roald would be delighted.
Vice President of Content for Children and Family at Netflix Melissa Cobb Variety was told that Dahl's stories could overlap "There will be discussions that will connect them all. We want to do animation in Dahl's style, "she said.
The Netflix Dahl animated series is expected to go into production in 2019.
