It's a good week for those who like to watch pretty renderings of new baseball stadiums.
On Wednesday, the A's unveiled their plans for a new stadium facility in Oakland with an elaborate (and breathtaking) set of visual renderings and plans that team president Dave Kaval and his team want to see materialized. from here 2023. In July, the Rays presented their own new potential stadiums, as well as.
And now, a day after the announcement of the A, the city of Portland, Oregon, has announced its own ultramodern facility project.
Just as the A's made with their news, the Portland Diamond Project announced its announcement in the form of tweets, each containing sleek visuals accompanying the installation descriptions:
We are pleased to announce that the Portland Diamond Project has signed an agreement in principle with the Port of Portland to develop the 45-acre terminal 2 property of this port. Release: https://t.co/Ddi79kP4i7 #MLBtoPDX pic.twitter.com/B7PvImtXvB

The desire to bring baseball to Portland has been preparing for years. The Portland Diamond Project has therefore devoted a great deal of time and effort to producing renderings and plans. As FOX 12 Portland rated, the Terminal 2 area includes "45 acres of property along the Willamette River, with over 2,000 linear feet of waterfront. The site is located on Northwest Front Avenue, just north of the Pearl and Slabtown area. . "
Seahawks Quarterback Russell Wilson and his wife, Ciara, are key players in the development team. Russ was excited about this news:
Earth = ✔@MLB Team = Soon.
Fans = forever. ???@Ciara, myself and our partners @PDXDiamondProj are about to bring a @MLB team to an amazing city and community.Now … it's a cool birthday present! ⚾️⚾️⚾️ pic.twitter.com/x6TcUTkO28

For the record, Commissioner Rob Manfred said that once A and Rays games have been resolved (replacing Oakland Coliseum and Tropicana Field respectively), some cities are considering becoming the home of a new club.
Could this city be Portland? Time will tell, but for now, the city definitely has a seductive plan in place …
Adrian Garro joined MLB.com in 2016. During his travels, Bartolo Colon and Vin Scully put their hands on his shoulders. Not at the same time, though. That would be great.
