QNAP officially released the HS-453DX NAS, featuring a quad-core Intel Celeron processor, an HDMI 2.0 (4K 60Hz) output, a 4K real-time transcoding and a real-time 10GbE broadband connectivity. Featuring a unique modern design for home office workstation areas, QNAP's new NAS solution offers fanless cooling for quiet operation.
In addition to its 1.5GHz quad-core processor (up to 2.5GHz), the HS-453DX has more than 8GB of DDR4 memory and two 3.5-inch SATA 6Gb / s drive bays . In terms of performance, the NAS should reach 677 MB / s in reading and writing. The HS-453DX is also equipped with two M.2 2280 SATA SSD slots, which allows the NAS to function as a hybrid storage solution with SSD caching for better overall performance in resource-intensive applications. . It also features a built-in five-speed 10GBASE-T (10G / 5G / 2.5G / 1G / 100M) port.
Like all QNAPS devices in its class, the HS-453DX offers a plethora of multimedia applications, such as: 4K dual-channel real-time transcoding, Plex Media Server broadcasts media content to DLNA, Roku, Apple TV devices, Amazon Fire TV and Google Chromecast.
The HS-453DX also supports the additional over-sizing of the software-defined SSD RAID system, which allows users to allocate additional space to the operating system to optimize Random write speeds of SSDs and promote a longer life cycle of SSDs.
