Sol Campbell arrives in Macclesfield for interviews

Campbell was linked to the Oxford United post prior to Karl Robinson's appointment in March and was also interviewed for senior positions at Oldham and Grimsby earlier this year.
The 44-year-old has had a distinguished player career with Tottenham, Arsenal and Portsmouth. He also represented England at three World Cups, winning 73 international caps before retiring in 2012.
Campbell recently worked with the Under-21 England team and their manager, Aidy Boothroyd, as part of the Football Association's "Seeking Progress" initiative, which offers BAME coaches have experience working with English teams.

Macclesfield, who returned to the Football League last season, is last in Ligue 2 and has only won two league games all season, although the second is a 1-0 win against Yeovil at Moss Rose Saturday.
The Silkmen have been without a manager since Mark Yates was sacked on October 8th.
