Expect Spider-Gwen to be important enough
Spider-Man: in the Spider-Verse has not yet released and Sony is already preparing suites and spin-offs for the animated film. According to THR, Sony is already in the planning stages of two new Spider worms movies. A film will follow In the Spider-Verse, while the other will be a spin-off run by a woman featuring various Spider-Women's extremely vast multiverse Marvel. Dollars in donuts, but it's going to embody Spider-Gwen, who seems to play a pretty important role in the next Spider worms.
No plot details were announced for both titles, but Sony did not specify who would be associated with the movies. For the following direct, Joaquim Dos Santos, who worked on both Avatar the last master of the air and Netflix Voltron, will lead with a script from David Callaham, who wrote both Wonder Woman 1984 and Zombieland 2. As for the film directed by a lady (I do not say Spider worms again!), Lauren Montgomery, who also worked on Voltron and a lot of animated middle-level DC movies, are in talks to lead. None of these movies have release date.
Normally, I would be rather cautious about a company that already plans derivative projects and suites before the film that is supposed to launch it (Dark Universe says hi), but I'm not at all concerned about that. In October, when I saw the first half-hour of the film, it exceeded all my expectations and was much better than I could have imagined. It's like the antiVenom. It's funny, it has a lot of heart and it made me very happy to see the rest of this movie. Sony has a hit on the hands, so if we get more Spider worms movies that are as good as this one, no matter what they count their chickens before they hatch. SPIDER-VERSE.
