The owner of the ship dies in an abnormal accident in Walvis Bay

Namibian police confirmed Thursday the death of the owner and captain of the ship Nuevo Rumbo Algeciras, Gonzalez Perez Jesus, in an accident.

According to a police report released Thursday, Jesus (46) died as a result of an accidental accident after crashing into the hull of the boat over the weekend.

The incident allegedly took place at Freddie Fishing Pier in Walvis Bay, where the boat was anchored, while Jesus was on the phone with his wife on the deck of the vessel.

He is believed to have fallen about four meters. He broke his skull and died instantly.

No criminal acts have been suspected and police investigations are continuing.

The relatives of the deceased were informed of his death.
