The repair of a vehicle ends tragically in Omutsegonime

OMUTHIYA – A 52-year-old man from the village of Omutsegonime died instantly Sunday night after the vehicle he was repairing collapsed.

Assistant Commissioner Naomi Katjiua, Oshikoto Regional Criminal Investigation Coordinator, confirmed the incident.
"The incident happened around 21:00 Sunday in Iikunino, village of Omutsegonime. Hiskiel Ndahangwapo, the deceased, was repairing his vehicle when the jack slid, knocking the car down and killing him, said Katjiua.

The body was transported to the morgue of the Omuthiya police to be autopsied. His close relatives have been informed.
Meanwhile, a 24-year-old woman will appear in Ondangwa court this week on charges of concealment and murder after allegedly throwing her baby into the sewer.

According to Katjiua, the incident occurred around 19:00 at the NK bar, located in the Amilema Cuca shops, where the suspect Loini Iipinge is employed as a bartender.

The suspect allegedly gave birth to a baby and threw him in the sewer. "The body was discovered by the police after receiving information and they went digging in the sewers with the help of the public. The suspect was arrested and appeared in court, while the fetus was taken to the Omuthiya police morgue to be autopsied, "said Katjiua.
