The biggest highlights of Cursed Sails involve new skeletal ships in combat, with the introduction of a new three-player vessel known as Brigantine. Cursed Sails has something special to offer to those who play at launch: a special three-week campaign.
The campaign will see a swarm of skeletal ships attacking players at sea and similar outposts. In addition, there will be a parallel quest focused on the story that will allow players to find the source of the skeletal threat. Throughout the event, players will have access to "a range of unique rewards", but we will have to wait to see what that entails. The developer Rare gave a small preview of what is coming with a new trailer, seen below.
As of July 31, the Cursed Sails update will be available free of charge to anyone who owns Sea of Thieves. .
