The Team 17 Announces Hell Let Loose WW2 FPS

As the cycle begins again, World War II shooters are back in fashion and Hell Let Loose is ready for the front lines. Developed by the new Black Matter studio, this is a realistic and semi-realistic World War II team shooter game, designed for teams of up to fifty players. There are classes of units, vehicles to drive, ride or escort and apparently a strategic layer of resource gathering between matches. After a successful campaign for Kickstarter in 2017, the launch is scheduled for 2019, and its development is quite advanced, as you can see in the muddy and muddy fight sequences below.

Judging by the footage, it looks more like Red Orchestra than at Battlefield 5. The bullets are extremely deadly, the explosives tear apart the ragged bodies and the armored units feel invulnerable until the moment a shell from the AP rips them. Each team of fifty players has a commander who can give orders via a tactical card. They will probably depend on the type of clientele that the game attracts, combined with the question of whether an inherent reward is provided for subsequent orders. As described, the maps look as vast and complex, based on real aerial photos and satellite images.

As a shameless scrub that I am (give me refreshing shields and plasma guns every day), this sounds a bit intimidating, but I can easily see the call here for the Flare Path crowd. A larger-scale, realistic World War II manshootery set up in vast forests, between hedgerows and on mortar-rammed farms, has not been addressed much recently. The extent of conflict – fifty players per player – is also interesting. This is quite possible in the era of the Royal Battle, but I am interested if they can make it consistent when Battlefield feels wild and messy with only 64 years old.
