HOLLYWOOD – Actor Tom Hanks is currently in talks to play the paternal woodcarver Geppetto in the live adaptation of the classic animated movie "Pinocchio" from 1940, according to Variety.

The famous children's story is centered on a wooden puppet created by Geppetto and named Pinocchio. Pinocchio, whose tendency to lie lengthens his nose, dreams of becoming a real boy.
The film is directed by Paul King, with production by Andrew Miano and Chris Weitz, reported Variety.
Hanks already has a lot to do in 2019, with several projects already scheduled, including the movie "Greyhound" about the Second World War, another part of "Toy Story" and the project he is filming about M Rogers.
