Twitter launches a new navigation bar on Twitter for Android

Twitter has now announced the launch of a new Twitter navigation bar for Android, which aims to help you navigate the tabs of the application more easily. It's a good change to see, but it's not without problems. Server-side changes do not require any updates to the Twitter application and should be done automatically.

Once updated, you will see your home, Moments, Notifications and Direct Messages sections have all been moved down. This change makes it easier to navigate the tabs, but also as part of the update, Twitter has removed the ability to slide between tabs in all but your Notifications area.

The loss of sweeping gestures is not huge but I can see how some people would be bored by the kidnapping. The update is being rolled out through the app, so let me know in the comments if you dig change or hate it.
