The City of Windhoek has appointed Ludwig Narib as General Manager for three months.
Narib replaces Robert Kahimise, who was suspended Monday for allegedly being granted a study loan without the board's approval.
Kahimise faces new charges of serious corporate government offense.
Windhoek Deputy Mayor Teckla Uwanga made the announcement today.
Uwanga said that Narib's appointment had been effective since Thursday until "the smooth investigation" on the charges against Kahimise was completed.
Narib is the strategic executive of the municipality responsible for infrastructure, water and technical services.
