NASA and SpaceX continue their joint preparations for astronaut crew missions that SpaceX will conduct for the agency, along with a test of the ship's emergency evacuation procedure GO Searcher from SpaceX. The ship is intended to be used to recover spacecraft and astronauts in an actual mission scenario. This week's rehearsals are essential to ensure the operational readiness of a crewed SpaceX mission.

The photos of the dress rehearsal, which is the first coordinated end-to-end training session involving NASA and SpaceX's full mission teams working in concert, saw NASA astronauts Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken Don SpaceX imitating new combinations were to be removed from the space shuttle Crew Dragon and returned to Cape Canaveral Air Base by the GO Searcher by helicopter.

By all accounts, this exercise was successful and seems to have left parties on both sides satisfied with the results achieved. Check out the dry series photos published by NASA below.

SpaceX and NASA are pursuing their goal of launching Crew Dragon's first crewed real-world flight this year, although they have had setbacks that make it all potentially impossible, including the explosion of a Crew Dragon test vehicle at a static shot in April.
