The eye of the cyclone
Astronauts aboard the The International Space Station is well above Hurricane Dorian, but that does not stop them from keeping a close watch on the storm – and sharing their unique perspective with the rest of the world.
On Monday, NASA astronaut Nick Hague tweeted a terrifying picture of the hurricane that he had just taken aboard the ISS.

Less than two hours later, Christina Koch from NASA taken to Twitter share several other images of Hurricane Dorian from the SSI's perspective – including an icy blow that looks directly into the whirlwind of the hurricane storm.

Power of the storm
Of course, the ISS astronauts are not the only observers of space to watch for Dorian, who has already inflicted enormous damage on the Bahamas, hitting the islands with winds of 177 km / h and killing five people .
NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration have a multitude of satellites that they use to monitor the progress of the storm. Their efforts will help people on the Dorian Passage to stay as safe as the astronauts over 250 miles above it.
