Christina Koch, a NC State graduate, and fellow astronaut Anne McClain were supposed to make a space excursion to the International Space Station on March 29th. It would have been the very first outing in the space with only women.
However, NASA said that a shortage of space suits of the correct size had forced the agency to change its plans. McClain and Koch will continue to go out into space, but not together.
On March 22, McClain became the 13th woman to walk in space. Koch posted on Twitter showing the team preparing for this release in the space.
No regular battery exchange or daily routine. Pictures of the Anne & Nick outfit for their first outing in the space! 7 hours later, we managed to modernize the batteries that allow us to have energy even when we are in the shade of the sun! Nice day of teamwork on and off the Earth. pic.twitter.com/a3R6y2jC7Q

After his first outing in space, McClain learned that the medium sized bust suited him best. It's the same size as Koch prefers. NASA has stated that only one support is available at the moment.
Being in space can have a different impact on the body of astronauts. For McClain, she said she had grown two centimeters since her exit from Earth, which may have resulted in this significant conflict.
Earth will learn a lot during its busy week @Space station – Today, he kept me company while we check the size of our suit to account for the growth of space (I measure 2 inches more than when I was was launched!), then we made some translation adaptations. pic.twitter.com/A89tJauyQu

NASA cited space suit sizes as the reason for changes to the space exit allocations.
Koch will perform the space release on March 29th with astronaut Nick Hague. This mission will make Koch the 14th woman to make an exit in the space.
At least during this mission, McClain and Koch will not become the first couple to perform in the all-female space.
