The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has announced the payment of 19,000 dollars (6.8 million pounds sterling) to volunteers to stay in bed two months for a new study.
This study, which is an original idea from NASA, the European Space Agency (DRL) and the German Aerospace Agency, is looking for 24 volunteers, including 12 men and 12 women.
According to a DRL statement, participants will be in bed for a study of bed rest by artificial gravity (AGBRESA), a study to measure how the body is changing in a state of weightlessness.

The results of the study will help scientists develop more effective preventative measures that will allow Space Station astronauts to spend less time practicing the sport.
