A video of the Sun shared on Twitter has now wowed people and chances are it will leave you mesmerized as well. The clip is created from images captured over two decades from ESA and NASA’s Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO).
The video was shared on the YouTube channel called NASA Goddard, dedicated to sharing information about the flight center of the same name. In the caption, they wrote that they shared the clip to commemorate SOHO’s 25th anniversary on December 2.
In the following lines, the organization explained how the video shows the Sun releasing “shards of matter called coronal mass ejections.”
“Throughout the video, the Sun releases bursts of matter called coronal mass ejections: rapidly moving clouds of solar matter that can trigger effects of space weather on Earth – like auroras, problems with communication and even power outages – and for spaceships on their way, ”They wrote among others.
Take a look at the video created from footage of the sun captured from 1998 to 2020.
Since being shared, the video has garnered tons of comments from people.
“This is amazing !! Thanks for editing this video. Fascinating and interesting, I am excited for this next solar cycle !!” wrote one YouTube user. “How can something so dangerous be so beautiful Another wondered. “Beautiful,” said a third.
