NASA will pay $ 19,000 for people to stay in bed for 2 months in Germany

GERMANY – NASA is willing to pay participants around $ 19,000 to spend two full months watching television in bed.

The German Aerospace Center will select 24 participants who will remain asleep during a 60-day observation period at rest.

NASA researchers are studying the effects of "artificial gravity" on the body to determine if it can be beneficial for astronauts who spend a lot of time in space.

Participants will be separated into groups but housed in one room.

Volunteers will do a number of activities while lying down; like to eat, watch TV and read for about $ 18,565.

A group will be rotated in a centrifuge, similar to a chamber of artificial gravity, which will force the blood to return to their extremities.

The other group will not be moved.
