Nathalie Morales is leaving NBC News after more than two decades with the network. The TV personality hosted the Today show and Date line for many years and confirmed that she would leave to pursue other opportunities. It has now been reported that Morales will join The speech after an eventful year for the CBS talk show that saw a revolving door of co-hosts.
The journalist writes a note to his colleagues
Morales surprised her colleagues at NBC News when she announced that she would be leaving the network after 22 years. The television reporter began her career with the peacock network working for WVIT, a branch in Hartford, Connecticut. It would then move to MSNBC and the mainnet to host Today and Date line. Morales also hosted Access Hollywood and Access live for NBC Universal while retaining his position at NBC News.
” Has my Date line and Today show families it’s very hard to say goodbye… and we all know in this matter it’s never goodbye but see you later, ”Morales said in a note to staff, according to Deadline. “I am eternally grateful for the support and the deep friendships that will remain, no matter where our paths lead. I have so much to be grateful for for and for each of you who have helped me get here … thanks a lot my friends. “
Morales also spoke about his personal journey and career growth over the years, remembering all of the “challenges, travels” and awakenings.
“I’ve watched my family grow up with so many of your own children, and as my oldest son prepares to spread his wings and soon head to college, I also feel the time is right (before the second half of my life) to spread my own wings and pursue a new adventure, ”Morales also said.

Possible future at ‘The Talk’
The speech has undergone a major transformation last year since the Sharon Osbourne scandal. Osbourne was eventually fired following a heated debate with co-host Sheryl Underwood about the race. Not only was Osbourne let go, but Carrie Ann Inaba and Elaine Welteroth stepped down ahead of the season premiere in September.
Jerry O’Connell and Akbar Gbajabiamila have joined the CBS daytime show with Underwood and Amanda Kloots. Following the release of Morales from NBC News, a new report suggests she will join the show in the coming weeks.
“We have to save the series after Sharon Osbourne’s catastrophic exit,” anonymous source said Daily mail. “Natalie is a beloved news star and her seriousness can help us transform The speech about.”

Another informant also told the UK tabloid that “with Natalie joining Jerry” they have an “opportunity to float and fix a sinking ship”.
CBS has not officially confirmed whether Morales will join the talk show. The report also didn’t give details on when they planned to bring Morales into the show. Morales would continue to fulfill his obligations on NBC Date line until the end of this year.
