NBA Rumors: Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant to Examine Team "as Difficult" as Knicks | NBA

Over the days, basketball players seem more and more convinced that Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving will join forces in New York.

The two superstars may well be looking for new starts this season, and given their well-documented friendship, it would certainly not be a shock if they chose to team up. Even though the big apple is probably the most likely place to land for Durant and Irving, there is no guarantee that they will show off their skills at Madison Square Garden.

In a recent appearance on ESPN's "The Stephen A. Smith Show", New York Times columnist Marc Stein announced that the Knicks inter-state rival would be a serious player in the Durant-Irving contest.

"Just before the start of the playoffs, someone I trust has told me a lot:" You know, it could be a lump sum, but they're going to watch the Nets as hard as the Knicks, "Stein said.

The Nets have exceeded expectations this season by getting the sixth seed in the East and appear to be a legitimate star far from arguing over the conference. And despite the tradition of the Knicks franchise, Brooklyn could actually present a more attractive opportunity, especially after New York did not win the 2019 NBA draft lottery.

All told, the summer announces wild New York.
