The NCAA 2019 softball tournament continues Sunday, May 19 with the regional. Check out the support, schedule and scores below.

Florida State is the reigning National Champion and the Seminoles placed 4th at this year's tournament. They will organize a regional tour in Tallahassee. Oklahoma won first place and will start its tournament at Norman against UMBC.

NCAA 2019 Softball Tournament: Teams

Of the 64 teams that make up the slice, 32 will be automatically qualified. All teams except four will get these AQ bids by winning conference tournaments. Four conferences (Big West, Mountain West, Pac-12 and West Coast) will award their AQ spots to the regular season champion.

NCAA 2019 Softball Tournament: Dates

Sunday, May 12 – Selection Show

The official tranche of 64 teams was announced at 9 pm AND on ESPN2. Sixteen teams are ranked first team in the field and are spread over 16 regional sites.

From Friday 17 May to Sunday 19 May – Regional

The tournament begins with 16 regional players played on the campus sites. Four teams will participate in a double elimination tournament on each site.

From Thursday, May 23rd to Sunday, May 26th – Super Régionaux

The 16 regional winners will qualify for the super regional, which will take place on eight campuses. Each site will have two teams playing in a best-of-three series.

Thursday, May 30 to Wednesday, June 5 – Women's College World Series

Eight teams will qualify for the US Softball Hall of Fame stadium – OGE Energy Field in Oklahoma City. The teams will play in double elimination format, the last two teams then playing a series of "best of three" championships.

The state of Florida won its first national title last year by beating Washington 1-0 and 8-3 to win the championship. Oklahoma had won consecutive national titles in the previous two years.
