Negative radiographs of the coasts of Tua Tagovailoa

Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa left Sunday’s game with injured ribs after a hit from Bills rusher AJ Epenesa and the team provided an update on his condition in the third quarter.

The Dolphins radio show said x-rays on the Tagovailoa coast were negative. He was called doubtful to return when he left the game, but Jacoby Brissett remains in the game and Tagovailoa did not return to the sidelines.

Tagovailoa was sacked twice before Epenesa’s kick and Jacoby Brissett has been sacked twice more since taking over from Tagovailoa. These protection issues will need to be addressed regardless of who is under the center in the third week.

For now, it looks like the Dolphins will be 1-1 for this game in Las Vegas. The Bills extended their lead to 21-0 on a Dawson Knox touchdown to open the second half.
