Many people who go on vacation with the caravan are too busy. When checking ANWB's annual vacation at the Hazeldonk border crossing, more than half of the caravans proved to be too burdensome. Some have even had hundreds of pounds of overweight.

More than 80 motorists had roadside caravan experts who checked the car with a trailer. With a number of trailers, it appeared that the tires were so worn out that they had to be replaced immediately because this could lead to dangerous situations.

Police Control

The South Limburg Police also carried out inspections today. It arrived in Elsloo along the A2. A number of motorists had to take things out of the caravan and put them in the car to be able to drive.

For a family from Tilburg, the holidays started less pleasant. The car in which the family was driving was allowed to shoot a maximum of 750 kilograms. However, the caravan weighed 1,200 pounds. Finally, the family was able to drive a few hours later to their holiday address, after having arranged another car.
