Train passengers are more active and less fat than motorists

This is what a RIVM study shows. The passengers of the train often go to the station by bike, then walk a little to go to work. So they move a lot more than someone who gets in the car. Train passengers travel 8 to 33 minutes more per day and are more than 2000 steps more than travelers by car

Something is wrong, because people who travel by train run a higher risk of getting infected. After all, they are in a compartment with a lot of other people. But the difference is small, you are at home or at work even more likely to get an infection. In addition, travelers traveling by public transport more than three times a week are resisting.

Tired and stressed

The RIVM relies mainly on studies abroad for its research. They expect the positive effects for train passengers in the Netherlands to be slightly higher, as more and more people come to the station by bike. About half of them go to the station by bike and more than half of them will work.
