The man receives 375 euros fine for dog in a sweltering car

We hear too often that people who leave their pet in a hot car. Fortunately, this boss is no longer out of the question: a 57-year-old man was fined 375 euros because he left his dog in a stuffy van last year. Officers arrived on time

Last year, on May 25, dogs saw the dog sitting with his tongue out of his mouth in the car. The suspicion of the agents was that the temperature inside was to be at least 40 degrees. "This has been prevented for years," said the prosecutor. "A car in the sun is a pressure cooker." The animal spent more than half an hour under the hot sun and happily survived.

Downsizing

The man had to appear before the magistrate in Leeuwarden on Friday, but he did not show up. He stated that he had a job and that the dog, according to him, was in the car for no more than twenty minutes. He also said that the Australian Shepherd can handle the heat well and that he has the windows ajar.

But the Attorney General (OM) is not satisfied with this. The prosecution finds that the man trivializes the incident and punishes him. "We must take care of animals as well on hot days as our children."
