The Consumentenbond sent 20 subjects for Eyelove eye test, Eye Wish, Hans Anders, Pearle, Specsavers and independent opticians. In addition, 2 optometrists from the University of Applied Sciences of the Utrecht University of Utrecht performed an eye test for reference. The differences between the measurements were large. No exact science
The optician largely determines the result of a sight test, but measuring the eyes is not an exact science. . The time of day or a cold or fatigue of the client may also affect the outcome.
The Consumer Association advises consumers who are not satisfied with their new glasses to return to the store. Most optical chains promise to measure other glasses or make money.
