"Terrorists suspected of using weapons in a holiday park"

The members of the coiled terrorist group who wanted to commit an attack in the Netherlands were trained in terrorism at the end of September at a holiday park in Weert, Limburg. The research of RTL Nieuws proves it. This group also included men from Rotterdam and Vlaardingen.

Four of the seven suspects were present in the holiday park. Two police infiltrators were also present. They delivered weapons and gave training. Previously, listening devices were installed in the cottage of the Roompot Weerterbergen holiday park. There were also Kalashnikovs and suicide bombers. All the weapons had been deactivated in advance.

Shortly after the departure of the suspects from the holiday park, they were arrested. Three other suspects were arrested in Arnhem.

According to the Department of Justice, the group planned to launch an attack at a major event in the Netherlands. It was expected that many victims will fall.

RTL Nieuws announced earlier that the main suspect arrested, Hardi N. (34 years old) had reported Gay Pride in Amsterdam as a possible target. The man would have said that to a police infiltrator.

Al Qaida

Hardi N., a native of Iraq, was also arrested in 2014. He then wanted to go to the battlefield of EI. N. would have intended to join Al Nusra, a terrorist organization associated with Al Qaeda.

He claimed that he wanted to go to the area to help the orphans. But the court did not believe that. On appeal, he was sentenced to 24 months in prison, 21 of which were suspended.

Hardi N. is married to a woman from Rotterdam converted to Islam. Meanwhile the couple is separated.

Another suspect of the group, Wail el A. (21 years old), settled in the Herastraat in the district of Rotterdam 110 Morgen shortly before his arrest at the end of September. He also came into contact with the law before.

With a companion, he was arrested in the summer of 2015 on the border with Syria. The duo was sentenced to two and three years in prison for this. Their business is still on appeal.

Boxing Champion

Wail el A. had a field work company and was arrested last year at Volkel Air Base, for taking suspicious photos.

Defendant Morad, 21, worked as a substitute for the El A company. He was formerly a Dutch boxing champion and was coached by Orhan Delibas. His boxing career was unsuccessful because M. 's is radicalized more and more. He had settled in Vlaardingen from Arnhem shortly before his arrest in September.

Morad M. is the half-brother of Alderkarim A., who died in Syria in 2015. A. became famous thanks to a YouTube video of the battlefield in which he called his "brothers" to take energetic measures against the Dutch government.
