The A12 motorway to Utrecht in the direction of The Hague was closed Friday afternoon as a result of an accident at the junction of Oudenrijn, in which two trucks were involved. Around 5 pm, a lane was opened. Traffic around Utrecht had to take into account many traffic jams.
At the scene of the accident, garbage and oil were found on the road. Around 9 pm, all lanes will be closed again. Due to the accident, the road surface is so damaged that the asphalt has to be crushed and that a new asphalt has to be applied. This takes place in the night from Friday to Saturday.
Everyone traveling to The Hague or Rotterdam can get to the Lunetten junction via the A27, A15 and A4. Traffic was also blocked on the A27 and A28 motorways, which connect the A12 to Utrecht.
