Ruud Overes, a long-distance cyclist from Bergschenhoek, will be cycling around Europe to raise funds for Parkinson's research. This Saturday, he left Dordrecht.
Ruud, 57, has been Parkinson himself for a year. He wanted to start the bike tour for some time now, but he decided to go there this year, while it is still possible.
The intention is that he makes a 10 thousand kilometer bike ride in eighty days, via France, Spain, Portugal and then the Balkans and Europe from East to the Netherlands.
