Big fire at Emmen Kitchen Shop under control

The fire of the company Cornelis Houtmanstraat in an industrial area was discovered around half past six. "Someone saw smoke coming out of an open door and coming out of the grilles," according to the spokeswoman.

According to witnesses, the fire broke out in the part of the commercial premises where Keuken Design is located. The fire raged in the building first, but continued on the upper floor. "Because the situation is not completely clear inside, it has been extended to a great fire, which also concerns the heat inside and out."

In addition to firefighters Emmen, Sleen, Emmer-Compascuum, Schoonebeek and Klazienaveen to fight the fire. Firefighters will now ventilate the building to evacuate the smoke.
